encircle
Encircle features works on paper depicting loops, circles and patterns. Originally inspired by drawings of my wrapped fiber necklaces, these abstract pieces explore themes of repetition, control vs. submission and movement vs. stillness while referencing maps and architectural blueprints. Using an intuitive process, the pieces were slowly built up over time, creating layers of color, pattern and detail. These pieces were shown in 2017.
