I've been working on a new series of pieces while staying home during the pandemic. I have found comfort in the meditative practice of repetitive mark making. These new elements are created with ink and watercolors using calligraphy pens and brushes. Mixed in are also new silkscreened pattern elements. I have two mixed media pieces in the upcoming Strike Away show at Paxton Gate Curiosities in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. The opening for the show, which has altered matchbooks as it's theme, is Friday, May 22 from 6-8pm. More information: Strike Away
Love (lost and found)
I have three new mixed media pieces featured in the Love (lost and found) postcard show at Artstream Gallery in Dover, NH. The opening is May 29, 5:30-7:30 and the show features works by artists from across the country. All work is for sale and will also be available on their website for the duration of the show.

I am selling my wares at this year's Wunderfaire, a craft fair put on by IDEO in San Francisco. It's all happening on Thursday, December 5 from 4:30-8:00pm. I will be selling my fiber jewelry as well as my plant pockets (the sewn ones and the knit ones too!). It's at IDEO Pier 28 Annex on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. There will be over 40 vendors, delicious food, live crafting events and a percentage of the proceeds directly benefits these three organizations: Creative Growth, YBCA Young Artists at Work Program and IDEO.org. Come by, say hi, grab some delicious food and knock some of those items off your holiday shopping list!
plant pockets now available at Magpie & Rye
My newest creations, hand knit air plant pockets, are now available at Magpie & Rye in San Francisco! I made some nettle fiber pockets and some linen fiber pockets and they hang from beautiful pieces of driftwood from the owner's collection. Each pocket is unique.

Open Studio this weekend at Art Explosion Studios
Come by this weekend (March 22-24) for Open Studio at my building in the Mission. I am in the building at 744 Alabama St @ 19th in San Francisco, studio space 369 on the 3rd floor. I will be there as much as possible during the open hours: Friday, 7-11pm, Saturday, 12-5 and Sunday, 12-5. I will have necklaces and artwork for sale. There is a lot of newness in this neighborhood, like restaurants (Central Kitchen), bars and galleries (Southern Exposure, Guerrero Gallery) Make a night of it, stop by and say hi!
Pop-up Shop at Fayes Video and Espresso Bar
I have a tiny pop-up shop happening now in my favorite video store and coffee shop. (Yes, I still rent dvd's!) I am selling necklaces, bracelets, card sets and framed artwork. Come by and pick out the perfect piece to go with that Wes Anderson movie you just rented or the prettiest necklace to compliment the double espresso you are drinking. ;)

From March 15 - April 26 I am participating in a curated pop-up shop created by friend and fellow artist Lisa Solomon. It is happening at NIAD Art Center and a portion of the proceeds from the sales go to this awesome organization that supports adult artists with disabilities. I will be selling some brand new necklaces in a fresh Spring color palette. Lots of great Bay Area artists will be selling their wares and the art center has some amazing art on exhibit as well.
